Anthea Kennedy

Anthea commenced practice in 1992 and became an accredited specialist in Wills & Estates Law in 1998. She was a member of the Wills & Estates Law Advisory Committee from 2006 and was the Chair of that Committee until 2021. Anthea is a committee member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners. Anthea has considerable experience in contested estate litigation, trusts litigation and estate administration. Maria’s areas of expertise include the acquisition and sale of commercial, rural, industrial, residential properties and distressed assets, advising and acting for developers with a focus on off-the plan mixed-use and residential project sales. She also advises on all aspects of leasing for commercial and retail tenants and acts for commercial landlords for industrial properties, bulky goods centres and commercial offices. Alex Winston

Alex advises on commercial disputes and negotiations, external administrations and bankruptcy. He regularly acts for insolvency practitioners, directors, creditors and shareholders in relation to distressed SME businesses. From 2020-2024, Alex was a member of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association (ARITA) NSW Young Professionals’ Committee and was the Committee Chair for 2023/24

Stephanie Cornforth

Steph brings over 15 years of practice in general commercial litigation to our Commercial Litigation & Insolvency team, specialising in secured and unsecured debt recovery. Steph’s expertise includes the management and resolution of contractual and equitable claims in all Australian jurisdictions, acting for trade credit providers, private lenders and financial institutions. She is highly accomplished in corporate and personal insolvency and insolvency litigation acting for both insolvency practitioners and creditors. Steph enjoys advocating for her clients’ legal rights, while ensuring a commercial resolution is achieved. Paul Evans

Paul has over 30 years’ experience in Wills and Estates, including litigation, and now with a particular focus on complex estate planning with Testamentary Trusts (Discretionary, Life Estates and Special Disability) and Estate Administration. He worked in London for 10 years assisting high net worth clients with their estate planning to mitigate Inheritance Tax. He also advises charities on ‘Gifts in Wills’ to them. Paul has been an Accredited Specialist in Wills and Estates Law since 2004 and is regularly appointed by the Court as an independent administrator of estates. He is a full member of STEP and is listed as pre-eminent in the Doyles Guide NSW List for Wills & Estates Succession Planning Lawyers for 2025.
